Join us at Bridgeside Books in Waterbury, VT

IPNE Vermont regional group will meet after   member and author/illustrator Sarah Dillard's 10:30 reading of "I Wish It Would Snow" at Bridgeside Books in Waterbury VT on Dec. 15. We expect the IPNE branch meeting to start about 11:30.

Come for the reading, stay for the publishing and fellowship. Some of us will be going cross-country skiing after the event, so join us if you wish!

What is the mission of IPNE regional groups?

IPNE regional group meetings draw indie authors, editors. small publishers, and representatives from IPNE and other organizations. At each bi-monthly meetup, we update individual projects, brainstorm challenges, and discuss topics ranging from finding the right publishing platform to editing and design to marketing and beyond.

IPNE now has six member-run regional groups - South Shore (MA), Cape & Islands; Vermont; Rhode Island; Maine; SE Mass., and Metro Boston. The groups are free for anyone to join and come with some nice IPNE perks. Join one* or start your own with IPNE's support!

The benefits of joining or coordinating a regional group

If you want to coordinate a regional group, you'll get a free IPNE membership for as long as you keep the group going. Suggested frequency for in-person meetups is monthly or bi-monthly, but individual groups are welcome to decide how often they meet. Libraries, churches, bookstores are all good locations. Meetings will be posted on the IPNE website and invitations emailed to nearby IPNE members. Contact the IPNE President or the Regional Branches Manager for guidelines and benefits.

About our regional branch coordinator: After a stint as an editor in Seattle, Charlotte Pierce served as managing editor for Home Office Computing Magazine (Scholastic) in New York (1985-1989). She moved to Boston to start Pierce Press in 1989. An IPNE member since 2007, Charlotte has served in several positions on the board, including president (2015-2017). Metro Boston is currently seeking a coordinator for the next 2-year cycle.
