Face The Book TV Show - Charlotte Pierce, Pierce Press, June 2010
Are you for a new and effective way to get the word out
about your books? IPNE members are eligible to participate and contribute to
"Face The Book," a new community-media TV
show. Face The Book currently reaches 15,000
households in Arlington through Verizon, RCN,
and Comcast public-access cable channels, and as an IPNE member and/or show
participant or crew member, you can "bicycle" the show for free to
your own community media station and others around New
England - or stream it on your website.
Face The Book takes audiences inside
book shops, coffee shops, print shops, and libraries, talks to independent
authors, independent publishers, book sellers, and readers in our region. We
look in on book clubs, book stores, and anyplace else where people are writing,
making, selling, or reading books. Face The Book dives
boldly into the swirl of new media in this age of tweeting, blogging, cloud
computing, e-books, and Amazon. Best of all, Face The Book helps
viewers discover new, independently published books and effective ways to
deliver their own ideas to readers.
Face The Book is taped in the studios
of Arlington Community Media Inc., 85
Park Avenue, Arlington MA 02474
(http://www.acmi.tv). To participate as a
panelist or crew member, contact the producer, IPNE and ACMI board member
Charlotte Pierce at charlotte@piercepress.com; Skype PiercePress.com; or
781-258-9608. The studio phone is 781-777-1115, and IPNE members are always
welcome to stop by and say hello when they are in the Boston area - we'll meet you and give you a
tour of the studio, and a free DVD of the show.
